We’re here to bring your garden to life.

We offer three different areas of service: Garden Maintenance and Management, Design and Installation, and Education.

Maintain & Manage

Regularly scheduled garden maintenance is the best way to get the most out of your garden.

Bed Maintenance

With evolved and current gardening practices, you’ll see your plants grow into healthy beings. Your garden will have fewer weeds and more greenery, changing through the seasons. We do all aspects of garden bed maintenance including pruning, weeding, amending, transplanting, and dividing. Mulching the beds with the specific type of mulch needed for your soil. Conducting soil testing and analysis.

Want fruit trees planted and ready for the coming season? We can do that.  Plant organic veggies for you to harvest yourself? We can do that too.

Creating Intentional Spaces

As a boutique garden horticulture business, we tailor our techniques to your garden. You can trust us to be detailed, accurate, and up-to-date on seasonal practices. Whether your curbside area, shrubs, lawn, or hardscape is needing some love and attention, we can provide that and give it some more intention and purpose.

We’re Seasonally Appropriate

Whether it’s a big mulch project, a seasonal bulb display, or a colourful addition, we’ll transform your yard and garden into a place of serenity for you and wildlife. With customized contracts and seasonal packages, we provide you with all the support, knowledge, and expertise you need to get your plants living healthy for a long time.

Almost Wild Horticulture

Consultation and Education

Consultation

Almost Wild’s founder consults with clients and provides a detailed garden management plan. After a decade of teaching and working in landscaping, they’ll share their knowledge about taking care of the land, managing labor, ecological maintenance, landscape management, and finding opportunities to create more inviting garden spaces for animals and people.

They love sharing stories about animals, and insects, and how they interact with gardens and landscapes. Coming from a background in horticulture, it’s easy to geek out on all the beautiful wonderful aspects of biodiversity and the natural beauty of gardens. Whether your goal is to learn more, create a whole new space, or renovate, Almost Wild will consult with you one-on-one to give you guidance and support on where you need to go and what you need to do.

Education

As an instructor at the Pacific Horticulture College, our founder is passionate about education and teaching the techniques to ensure we have more ecologically diverse gardens on the planet. They work with clients to teach them gardening and give them the tools to maintain and grow their own down the line.

With public education courses and workshops, institutions, schools, organizations, and companies can benefit from the lessons learned. Lessons include basic and advanced pruning, soil management and regeneration, ecological bed maintenance, plant health, and anything else that a client wants to learn. Almost Wild teaches the most basic concepts to more sophisticated ecological horticulture topics.
